From OR Thambo International Airport |
|
| 1 : | Follow the Johannesburg R24 toward PRETORIA |
| 2 : | Take the Pretoria N1 fork (keep left) at the interchange – you are now on the N3, heading north |
| 3 : | This will become the N1 at the next interchange (N1 / M1 / N3 all interchange at this point) |
| 4 : | You will pass these off ramps: (MARLBOROUGH, JOHANNESBURG / PRETORIA, RIVONIA) |
| 5 : | Take the next off ramp onto WILLIAM NICOL DRIVE |
| 6 : | At the traffic lights, turn right on to WILLIAM NICOL DRIVE |
| 7 : | Continue until you pass THE MONTE CASINO on your right |
| 8 : | Take the HONEYDEW turn off onto WITKOPPEN ROAD (do not go under bridge) |
| 9 : | Turn left onto WITKOPPEN ROAD |
| 10 : | At the first set of traffic lights, turn right into CEDAR AVENUE |
| 11 : | Continue on CEDAR AVENUE for ± 2.5 km |
| 12 : | Pass BROADACRES SHOPPING CENTRE on your left |
| 13 : | At the next traffic light, turn left into 3RD AVENUE |
| 14 : | Continue to the four way stop |
| 15 : | Continue over the four way stop |
| 16 : | Zulu Nyala will be on your left – continue to the 4TH ENTRANCE – RECEPTION |
Directions to Safari Lodge |

| Johannesburg – Safari Lodge | |
| 1 : | Leave Johannesburg on N12 towards Witbank (Emalahleni) |
| 2 : | Go through toll gate and +-10 km after toll gate take road |
| 3 : | to Hendrina. Go through town then follow signs to Ermelo |
| 4 : | From Ermelo take the N2 past PIET RETIEF (100 kms) PONGOLA (approx 100 kms) & MKUZI (approx 65 kms) |
| 5 : | Approximately 40 kms from Mkuzi take SOUTHERN MAPUTALAND/SODWANA BAY off ramp |
| 6 : | Turn left and at T junction follow ZULU NYALA sign and trun right onto gravel road (do NOT go left to Sodwana). Travel slowly – the gravel is loose and slippery |
| 7 : | Approximately 6 kms down gravel road you will see the HERITAGE HOTEL (green roof or lots of lights at night) |
| 8 : | If you are going to the LODGE, 1 km before the Hotel, turn left over railway line, road sign shows ZULU NYALA and MSINENE. Watch out for trains. |
| 9 : | Approximately 3.5 kms turn left through main gate to Zulu Nyala Game Lodge (there is always a game guard on duty) |
| 10 : | Follow signs to Lodge for approximately 2.4 kms. |
| Durban – Safari Lodge | |
| 1 : | Leave Durban on N2 North |
| 2 : | Go through the TONGAAT TOLLGATE – you can use your garage card at all the tollgates |
| 3 : | Go through the MVOTI TOLLGATE – an Ultra City Garage is on the Durban side of the tollgate |
| 4 : | Go through the MTUNZINI TOLLGATE |
| 5 : | Pass the RICHARDS BAY / EMPANGENI TURNOFF (do not turn – keep going!) |
| 6 : | Approximately 100km from the RICHARDS BAY / EMPANGENI OFF RAMP, ignore the Hluhluwe sign (do not turn off) |
| 7 : | Approximately 10km past the Hluhluwe sign, follow the ZULU NYALA signs – take the SOUTHERN MAPUTALAND / PHINDA OFF RAMP |
| 8 : | At the top of the off ramp, turn right over the N2 |
| 9 : | Go 100m to T-junction, then follow the ZULU NYALA sign and turn right onto the gravel road (do NOT go left to Sodwana). Travel slowly – the gravel is loose and slippery. |
| 10 : | Approximately 6km down the gravel road, you will see the HERITAGE HOTEL (green roof or lots of lights at night)
If you are going to the Game Lodge: |
| For Heritage Lodge and tented Safari | |
| 1 : | 500m before the Hotel, turn left over railway line – road sign shows ZULU NYALA and MSINENE – please watch out for trains |
| 2 : | Approximately 3.5km, turn left through the main gate to ZULU NYALA GAME LODGE (there is always a game guard on duty) |
| 3 : | Follow the signs to the lodge for approximately 2.4km |
